What is a TSC in early childhood?

A TSC (Technical Skill and Competency) is a specific professional skill defined in ECDA's Skills Framework for Early Childhood. TSCs are grouped into categories such as Child Learning and Development, Child Safety and Well-Being, Family and Community Partnership, and Professional Practice and Development, each with proficiency levels. KLCII CPD courses are tagged to these TSCs.

What are Stage 1 and Stage 2 TSCs?

Stage 1 TSCs are the prioritised competencies to focus on in the first few years of a new job role. Stage 2 TSCs are additional competencies to build once you have a firm grounding in Stage 1. ECDA's CPD Roadmap lists the Stage 1 and Stage 2 TSCs for each Occupational Title.

What funding is available for CPD courses?

Most KLCII CPD courses are eligible for ECDA funding. Singapore Citizens and PRs pay a subsidised fee after funding; foreigners may qualify for a partial-funded rate. Fees are inclusive of 9% GST.
